A supportive, connected approach focused on prevention and providing access to services

People who are currently experiencing homelessness in our city have been a significant topic of discussion within our community. While the opening of an emergency shelter has provided a safe space for those neighbors, it is just part of the work that needs to be done to truly address the issue facing those who are currently unhoused. Kristen will work with local non-profit service agencies and government agencies to ensure these members of our community get access to the services they need. This includes adding case managers and social workers to the Police and Fire departments to assist those departments, as they are often the first point of contact and interact regularly with unhoused folks in our community.
